Add a Caption to an image

  1. View the 'Gallery' pane with the thumbnails

  2. Hover over an image thumbnail to have the 'Add Caption' field appear underneath

  3. Click on the 'Add Caption' text to access and write the Caption

  4. Count of number of Images or Text Elements on the page

Click out of the Caption field by clicking on the page background or some other object or thumbnail before you 'Save Changes'


Caption Styling Options

Once you have typed your text, if you select any text characters/words a mini-toolbar will appear above.

  1. Bold style

  2. Italic style

  3. Heading style

  4. Link URL

  5. Unordered list (bullet points)

Some Themes have extra styling options for Captions under the Design > Theme > Gallery Pages View All > Captions area.


  1. Click '</>' in lower-right corner of Caption field

  2. Toggle from TEXT (default) to HTML for editing.

HTML Caption

  1. HTML editing area after converting from TEXT

Revert to Text Caption

  1. Toggle from HTML back to TEXT

  2. Warning that any HTML content you have edited will be erased


Adding an Image Description

  1. Thumbnail of the image to describe

  2. Add your image description by describing the image, (an example is provided in a light color)

  3. 'Save'

Adding a Caption to a YouTube or Vimeo clip

Hover video thumbnail will show options

  1. View Video

  2. Change Video

  3. Delete Video

  4. Add Caption…

Add Caption and Style to video clip

Click into the Caption field and add Caption the same way you would a normal still image.

Selecting and highlighting a word within the Caption will introduce the mini-styling toolbar with the options:

  1. Bold style

  2. Italic style

  3. Heading style

  4. Link URL

  5. Unordered list (bullet points)

Click out of the Caption field by clicking on the page background or some other object or thumbnail before you 'Save Changes'
