Containers are the building blocks that are used to curate content on Bundles.

In Copilot, there are five ‘Container Types’.

How to add a container to a Channel or Sub Channel Bundle

On the Channel or Sub Channel Bundle, click on the Add Container button.

After clicking the Add Container button, a side panel will open that shows the list of containers that can be added to the Bundle.

The blue plus button adds the container to the Bundle. Newly added containers will be empty until content is added.

Curating Content with Containers

‘List’ Containers Including: Feature, Multi-package Feature, Link Banner etc..

List containers are containers where users can manually choose specific content to appear in the container.

On list containers, the Add Content button opens the Asset Finder where content can be selected and added to the container. The amount of content that can be added is capped. The cap is different for each brand.

Please note: the Add Content button only shows on List Containers which include the following containers: Multi Package Feature, Features, Spotlight Article, and Link Banner. View the full list of List Containers here.

Using ‘Search’ Containers Including: River, Search Feature etc..

Search containers are containers that allow users to add specific criteria to a query – like categories – which then creates a feed of content in the Bundle. On the Channel and Sub Channel Bundle, the Search Query can be updated via the container’s Search Query button (see below).

The Search Query button opens a side panel where the search query can be set up or updated.

Please note: The Search Query button only shows on Search Containers which include the following containers: River, Search Feature, Verso Related, Verso fifty fifty, Subtopics, Search Fifty Fifty, Verso, CNE Search Video, The Latest.

There are various elements within the Search Query that can be updated and applied which will determine the content that is displayed in the container, including the Number of Results, Language, Content Type – as well as Taxonomy.

Once the Search Query has been updated, users can click the Apply button which is positioned top right of the side panel. Once the button has been clicked, the search results will be displayed in the container based on the search query (see below).

The stories that appear in the container will be the stories that show on the actual Channel or Sub Channel Bundle on the website or app.

Using ‘Multi-search’ Containers including: Verso PLP Search Curated etc..

Multi-search containers are similar to Search containers, like Rivers. But on multi-search containers it is possible to add multiple search queries.

See below an example of how a multi-search container shows on the Bundle on the website. Each search query has its own tab of content.

In Copilot, multi-search containers can have multiple search queries added.

The Search Query button opens a side panel where the search query can be set up/updated. Additional search queries can be added via the Add Query button (see below).

When the search query has been updated, click the Apply button top right of the side panel.

Using Text Containers Including: Embed

The only text container that exists is the Embed container. The Embed container is just a field that can be populated with text within the Channel or Sub Channel Bundle.
