All containers are positioned below the Body field on the Channel and Sub Channel Bundle. See example below.

The container type is listed top left of each container. There is also a Configure Container button and a Three Dot Menu button positioned top right on the container.

Three Dot Menu Button

The three dot menu's Override Content button opens a side panel.

Override Content allows users to edit the Title and Introduction of all stories in the container. Once the edits have been saved via the Save button at the top of the side panel, the updates will be reflected on the container in the Bundle.

Then once the Channel and Sub Channel Bundle has been published, the new updates will be reflected on the Bundle page on the website or app.

Please note: the Contextual Override option is not available on search containers like Rivers or Search Features, for example.

Within the three dot menu, the Duplicate button will create a duplicate of the container directly below, and the Delete button will entirely remove the container from the Bundle.

Configure Container Button

The Configure Container button is located top right of the container. The Configure Container button opens the side panel (see below).

There are several items within the side panel – see below.

In reference to the image above, see more detail about the Configure Container controls below:

  1. If the Title toggle is enabled, the Title field shows on the container

  2. If the Introduction toggle is enabled, the Introduction field shows on the container

  3. If the Image toggle is enabled, the Image options shows on the container

  4. The Container Type menu allows users to change the container type to a similar container. For example, if the container is a River, then it will be possible to change it to a similar search query based container, like a Search Feature. Once the container is changed, all the container content will be retained from the old container.

  5. If you have made changes in the side panel, and then click the Reset button, your changes will be reverted. The Apply button will push any new changes so they are reflected on the container.

The Layout Options dropdown menu in the side panel allows users to select a layout for the container which will determine how the content is displayed on the website or app. Please note that the list of layouts that are available to be selected will be based on the an individual brand's specific Brand Settings. For example, the container layouts available for GQ US may be different to the layouts available for Vogue US.

Content Inside The Containers

Each rectangle slat inside a container is a story or piece of content.

Content that shows here will show on the Channel or Sub Channel Bundle on the website or app (if the content item itself is published).

On each individual story/piece of content within the container, there is a three dot menu on the right hand side.

Edit Contextual Overrides enables users to edit the overrides of that specific story/piece of content.

The blue icon (see below) highlights that a user has added an 'Contextual Override' to that specific story or piece of content within the container.

Edit Item opens the actual story/piece of content on a new tab.

Delete will remove the story from the container.

Please note: the three dot menu only shows on content within containers that are 'list' containers – where a user manually selects content to add to a container, so not River or Search Feature containers.
