Adding Pull Quotes To a Group of 2

Written by Joe Davis

In Copilot, there is a Media Block button within the Toolbar in the body field of an article – see below:

If a user clicks on the entire Media Block it will automatically add a Group of Two to the body field – see below.

If a user clicks on the entire box, a menu will appear above the Media Block that allows users to change to a Group of 3, 4 or a masonry grid.

However, on the Group of 2 only, there are two buttons in each section including:

  • Add Asset

  • Add Pull Quote

Users can add assets like photos, clips or products. If a user clicks Add Pull Quote, they can also add a quote to the box – see below:

The pull quote feature allows users to place a pull quote next to a photo, clip or product when necessary.

Additionally, if a user clicks on the entire block, the same menu will appear above, and users can also add an animation to the block – like fade in or slide in.

Each animation has a distinct motion:

  • Fade In: When applied, the items in the Group of 2 gradually fade into view as the reader scrolls down the page on the website.

  • Slide In: When applied, the assets in the Group of 2 slide into view from the left and right side of the page as the reader scrolls down on the website.

Here is an example of how the pull quote in the Group of 2 appears on the website.
