How to Request Site Navigation Changes, Process updated as of July 2026

Written by Vijay Krishna Mallik

Please send your navigation request to your Brand PM with the required info below. All navigation requests will route to Brand PMs through one of two clear paths, depending on their scope.

P.S. If your brand does not have an assigned Product Manager, please go to #technology-site-issues on Slack in order for the Product Support team to assist you.

Path 1: Paved Road (Fast Track)

  • For: Minor/temporary nav changes using pre-vetted tags and templates

  • Examples: Adding Prime Day to nav, swapping existing nav items, adding an event page

If sold, it needs 30 days notice.

Steps:

  1. Brand PM gets Path 1 nav request & gives Advertising 2 weeks minimum notice.

  2. Brand PM communicates with SEO, Ad Tech, and Edit on: dates, tag.

  3. Brand PM confirms/QAs no impact to ad map or ad visual placement.

  4. Brand PM updates placement in Verso Settings.

  5. Brand PM Email GlobalAdPlatforms@condenast.com to confirm once the change is live.

Requirements List for Path 1 to be shared 2 weeks before launch

  • Change (what's being added/replaced)

  • URL

  • Campaign related? (Y/N + sponsor)

  • Scope & placement (e.g., top nav, desktop only)

Path 2: Off-Road (Full Integration)

  • Examples: Adding or merging a new section, removing an existing nav section

If sold, it needs 90 days notice.

  1. Brand PM gets Path 2 nav request & gives Advertising 4 weeks minimum notice.

  2. Determine technical setup with SEO + Aud Dev + Ad Tech (permanent channel vs. temp tag).

  3. Migrate content in test environment (if needed); notify Ad Tech immediately.

  4. QA the ad code, give traffic forecast + new GAM channel info, share for validation.

Weeks 3–4 — Advertising + Brand PM co-lead:

  1. Advertising reviews specs (2+ weeks before go-live), resolves open questions.
