What should go in each field of an article or gallery

Headline: This is your headline. The text will appear at the top of your content.

Dek: This is the sub-headline. The text will appear at the top of the content, near or below the headline. 

Site Hed:  The promo hed appears with the promo image in any promotional areas of the site, i.e. any curated spots on the homepage and channel pages, in search rivers, etc. It can be different than the article hed if you'd like, or autogenerated from the article hed.

Site Dek:  The promo dek is the sub-headline that appears with the promo image in any promotional areas of the site, i.e. any curated spots on the homepage and channel pages, in search rivers, etc. It can be different than the article dek if you'd like, or autogenerated from the article dek.

Site Image: The site image is your thumbnail image—it shows up on all channel and subchannel pages with the promo hed and dek, and also when your content is promoted on the homepage or elsewhere.

Byline: This is the field where you can search and add authors.

Story Image: The story image is the image that appears at the top of your article.


Story Image Caption: The story image caption is the caption underneath your Story Image.

Contributor: The contributor is the author of the content and will be included in the byline. Start typing a name to populate.

Social Headline: This title will be used when the content is shared on social media. You can autogenerate from the hed or enter a new one.

Social Description: This description will be used when the content is shared on social media. You can autogenerate from the dek or enter a new one.

SEO Title: This is the title that will appear in Google or other search engines. You can autogenerate from the hed or enter your own.

SEO Description: This is the description that will appear in Google or other search engines. You can autogenerate the description from the dek or enter your own.

Tags: add relevant tags, or select recommended tags.
