Note: All Conde Nast staff now use Okta for logging into Copilot. The Copilot 2FA steps listed below only apply to folks without access to Okta.

The Authenticator extension for Google Chrome is fairly handy. You likely already have Google Authenticator on your trusted device (iPhone or Android), but with the extension you can pull up your code right in your Chrome browser, and copy/paste into the 6-digit code field for a quicker sign in. Here's how:

  1. Locate your 16-character secret key. You should have written this down and kept it in a safe place when you first set up Copilot. Without a key, you won't be able to use the Chrome extension without a reset.

  2. Click on the extension icon.

  3. Click on the pencil icon and then + to add a new entry.

  4. Click Manual Entry

  5. In the Account field, name your entry. It can be whatever you'd like, or left blank.

  6. In the Secret field, enter your 16-character key and click OK.

That's all there is to it! Next time you are prompted to enter your 6-digit code again, you can click on it from the extension and copy/paste to log in.
