Note: All Conde Nast staff should now use Okta for logging into Copilot. The Copilot 2FA steps listed below only apply to folks without access to Okta.

First, check to see that your phone time matches the time on your computer. The authenticator is time-stamped, so if the two do not match it will not work.

If you're using an Android, your phone may have gotten out of sync.

To make sure that you have the correct time:

  1. Go to the main menu on the Google Authenticator app

  2. Click Settings

  3. Click Time correction for codes

  4. Click Sync now

On the next screen, the app will confirm that the time has been synced, and you should now be able to use your verification codes to sign in. The sync will only affect the internal time of your Google Authenticator app, and will not change your device’s Date & Time settings.

If neither of the above apply, you can type your 16-digit key into the Authenticator's manual entry field, if you saved it when you first logged in.

If you don't have your 16-digit key, when you reach the login page, select "Reset My Six-Digit Code."  You will receive an email which will allow you to scan in a new barcode.
