How to build the Person content type

Person pages are built out for a celebrity, model, politician, or other individual that your brand covers extensively. If proper development work is complete, other published stories that mention the individual will auto-populate on the person page and any time that person's full name is mentioned in an article it will auto-link to the person page. Here's an example of a person page from Vanity Fair.

  1. From the Create dropdown, choose Person.

  2. Add the first name and last name to save.

  3. Fill out any additional fields with information you would like to show up on the page.

  4. Save and publish as you would with any other piece of content.

To publish a person page, only first and last name are required. If you are building out these pages to be hubs of content about a particular person (which we assume you are!), there are additional fields you can fill out (tout image, bio, etc) to round out the page visually and editorially. Where this info shows up (if at all) and how it appears on the reader-facing site depends on your template. You can speak with your product manager if you are unsure about what your template allows.
