Tags are no longer freeform and only brand admins can manage the tags available to their brands. This makes it easier to avoid duplication, typos, or incorrect tags being inadvertently created.

To create a new tag:

  1. Click on the Tag Manager option on the left navigation bar.

  2. Click “Create Taxonomy” button.

  3. Type the name of the tag.

  4. Click the auto-generate button (magic want) to generate a slug.

  5. Click “Create Taxonomy” button.

  6. Note: duplicates are not allowed

To edit a tag:

  1. Click on the Tag Manager option on the left navigation bar.

  2. Search for the tag.

  3. Click the “Edit” button.

  4. Update the name and click “Edit Taxonomy” button.

  5. Note: slug is not editable

To disable the use of a tag:

  1. Click on the Tag Manager option on the left navigation bar.

  2. Search for the tag.

  3. Click the “Disable” button.

  4. Note:  There is a link to see how many pieces of content have been classified with this tag.  Disabled tags will remain on the content unless manually removed and republished.

If you need a new tag and you are not a brand Admin you will need to reach out to your brand Admin to request a new tag.
