What can I embed in my story?

  • Instagram posts / Instagram TV

  • Giphy embeds

  • Youtube videos

  • Brightcove videos

  • Dailymotion videos

  • Vimeo videos

  • Tweets

  • Pinterest boards, pins, and profiles

  • Facebook posts

  • TikTok Videos

  • Spotify songs, tracks, podcasts, and playlists

  • Copilot Photos, Clips, Articles, and Galleries.

There are two ways to embed third party assets into your story in the new rich text editor: you can copy/paste a URL or use the toolbar—accessed from the Plus (+) button—to paste an embed code. Soon, you'll be able to input HTML embed code as well.

Option 1: Copy/Paste URLs

With the new rich text editor, you are able to paste the third party post directly into the editor using the post's URL or Embed Code. As soon as the link is pasted, the post or media will automatically appear.

Option 2: Use the toolbar accessed from the 'Plus' button

Here you can once again embed via a URL or you can paste in Embed Code.

When you paste in an embed code, you will then be able to see what type of embed it is.

For video embeds, you will be able to select the aspect ratio you would like.

Note: Too many social media embeds can actually slow down the page and make for a bad user experience. Try to be minimal with embedded content.
