Alternate Languages within an Article

1. See what languages are available for that piece of content
To see what language options you have, open the language dropdown. In the below example you can see that the content is currently default set to Italian with the option of creating an English translation.

2. Create different translations of a piece of content
To create a new translated version of an article, go to the language dropdown and select the plus icon next to the translation language you would like to create.

When selected, you will be taken to an identical article with that translation language set. Note that all fields will be copied over except for the slug. You will need to update the following:

  • Categories

  • Article content and title

  • SEO and social information

3. Easily find all associate translated versions of an article

Within the language dropdown, you are able to see and navigate to all of translated versions of that article. Just click on the language you want to go to and you will be directed to that article page in Copilot.

Searching for content with alternate languages

You will now notice a language label on the search result for any article that has been translated. This is to allow you to clearly identify which version of an article you are entering

You are also able to filter your search based on the language you are looking for.

Additional things worth noting:

  • This is currently only available for articles

  • If you do not have this feature and would like it, please contact support.
