Before you begin, make sure you have access to the Firework platform. Learn how to access Firework by visiting this help article here.

Vertical Video Carousels are just video playlists that can be created in the Firework platform. Here's an example from Allure:

Here are a few things to note about the Firework Player:

  • 3rd party player

  • Available for all brands

  • Supports vertical video carousels.

  • There is a Firework CMS for uploading videos.

  • Only supports vertical video.

  • Supports live video shot from a phone.

  • Supports clickable/shoppable overlays.

  • Does not support pre-roll, but you can upload sponsored content into the carousel.

  • Embeddable in Copilot/Verso

How to create a playlist in Firework:

  1. Once you login to Firework select the Brand Channel you'd like to pull content from. You can access this on the left side pane under Channels.

  2. Under the Video section, there are several options. Hit the plus (+) icon next to "Playlists" to create your video playlist.

  3. A pop up dialog will appear to title your playlist.

  4. After you title your playlist, it will appear in the playlist list under Playlist. Click your playlist to start adding videos.

  5. From there another pop up dialog will appear with all videos from your brand. You can search for videos or scroll through and select "Add to Playlist". When your done, hit the "X" to exist the dialog.

  6. You will then see all the videos you selected in a row. Feel free to rearrange them in the order of your choosing.

How to add video playlists to Copilot

  1. Hit the "Embed" icon

  2. Select the display option "Carousel" or any other styles.

  3. Paste the code that starts and ends with <fw> and ends with <fw>
    For example: If this is the code:

    1. [REMOVE] <script async type="text/javascript" src="//asset.fwcdn3.com/js/embed-feed.js"></script>{REMOVE] <fw-embed-feed channel="voguemagazine" playlist="gp7a2o" mode="row" open_in="default" max_videos="0" placement="middle" player_placement="bottom-right" ></fw-embed-feed>

    2. You only need <fw-embed-feed

      channel="voguemagazine"

      playlist="gp7a2o"

      mode="row"

      open_in="default"

      max_videos="0"

      placement="middle"

      player_placement="bottom-right"

      ></fw-embed-feed>
