How to Set Different Mobile and Desktop Image Crops for Story Headers

  1. Upload your art to Copilot as a Photo. (See "Adding and Cropping Photos" for more info.)

  2. Makes all necessary crops on the Photo asset page.

  3. Open up the article where you want to use the photo as header art and add the Photo to the Story Image field.

  4. Once the Story Image is added, a dropdown will appear within the Page Layout section of the Copilot Article. From there, select the desired aspect ratios for desktop and mobile. All of the crops available on the Photo asset page will appear as options as does an "Original" option which means that no user-defined crop is applied. Note: This is an optional choice: If no selection is made, the article page will look for the current default set for that header variant.

  5. Click preview to see the header with the selected aspect ratios reflected at desktop and mobile breakpoints.

  6. Publish as normal and your audience will now enjoy story art that is customized for their device type.
