The CNE Audio Platform allows you to obtain the embed code for the different CNE Audio Player variations like the podcast and narrated players, and configure the settings for each podcast like the subscriptions on 3rd-party podcast platforms like Apple, Spotify and iHeart.

How do I obtain access to the CNE Audio Platform? If you need access or support you can do so through the Slack channel #audio-issues.

If we all share the same access - for now - would there be a problem with several people working on the platform at the same time? There is no problem. Multiple users can work at the same time.

To obtain the embed code for the CNE Podcast player variations, i.e. the single embed and full playlist player, please follow the following steps.

Player Configuration

  1. Select the type of player: single episode or full playlist

  2. If we have chosen the Single Episode option in select 1 we can select the desired episode in this select. Otherwise this select will remain disabled

  3. Makes an on-demand download of the selected podcast

Q&A

I do not see an episode of a Podcast show. What do I do? Try the "Sync. Podcast" button (#5). If you still have problems, ask us for help through the slack channel #audio-issues

Q&A

When I include the embed code in Copilot it does not show the correct skin. What's going on? The skin is automatically assigned depending on the brand of the podcast selected through Verso. This process is transparent to the user. We will only be able to see the skin applied in Verso or CNE Audio Platform not in Copilot.

Podcast settings

In this section you can configure the settings for each podcast like the subscriptions on 3rd-party podcast platforms like Apple, Spotify and iHeart.

Select the podcast

  1. Select Country

  2. Select Brand

  3. Select Podcast

Subscriptions

  1. Apple Podcast and Spotify subscriptions url's are always shown as they are commonly used.

  2. To select other platforms, select the desired option from the “Other subscriptions” drop-down, add the url below and

  3. Press the + button to add the subscription url. The new subscription will be displayed in the "Subscriptions" block.

  4. Press SAVE to save the configuration.

Narrated Audio

We should not understand any audio file (podcast, clips, video...) as Narrated Audios. A Narrated Audio is only the literal transcription of an text article in an audio file.
In this section of the platform we only refer to the Narrated Audio files.

Upload Narrated Audio

  1. Select country

  2. Select brand

  3. Copilot ID (Disabled until country & brand pair selected)

  4. Type (Spoken/AI)

  5. Title *

  6. Provider

  7. Audio file (Specs: Max file weight 200MB)

  8. Audio duration in seconds

  9. Image: Required for the lock screen image (Specs: The image must have a 1:1 format and the maximum weight will be 5MB)*.

  10. Upload narrated

*Note: The title and image fields are used to correctly display the narrated audio on the lock screen of mobile phones.

  1. Search a narrated audio by its CopilotID

  2. Last 10 narrated audios uploads

When you hover an item you will see 3 icons:

  1. See code and audio file url. You can copy that codes by clicking on the icons.

A modal window with the same form as UPLOAD NARRATED AUDIO will show.

FAQs

Will I have analytics in Google Analytics (GA)? No, not at the moment. Once GA4 is integrated into Snowplow we might be looking at visualizing audio data in GA4.

Do we have a player variation for narrated audio? Yes, please see here.

Does the CNE Audio Player provide stats like downloads and unique users? Yes, we have integrated the player with Snowplow and with Permutive, and we are developing a dashboard in Dash.

Do we have a player variation for audio clips like music? No, not yet, but we envisage developing one in the future.
