There are a number of ways that MegaMenu nodeTypes can be organized, please see below for setups and examples.

Hierarchy | Root | Section | Group | Link |
Nested example | Destinations | Asia | Cities | Hong Kong |

Nested example | News & Advice | All News & Advice | Air Travel |
No Group
This is currently only used by Allure - they use a group name of <<hidden>>
to hide the group on Verso. We’re going to be refactoring this so it’s recommended brands do not use this order.

So, can I just create a bunch of nested links and see a MegaMenu appear for my brand? If not, how do I set up a MegaMenu for my brand?
Yes and no. You’ll be able to set up the schema for your primary links MegaMenu, but you’ll need to also set up the component configurations for your brand in order for it to properly render on Verso. More details on this here.
In the future, we plan on bringing component configurations into Verso Settings so this should all be managed within the UI!
