Update a candidate's phone number

If a candidate's phone number has changed and they are unable to login with their old number, you can easily edit their phone number

If a candidate's phone number has changed and they are unable to fill out an assessment due to the One-Time Password (OTP) being sent to their old number, you can easily update their phone number in the FranchiseLab portal. Follow these simple steps to update a candidate's phone number and resend the assessment.

Log in & access the application

Go to FranchiseLab Recruiter and enter your login credentials to access the portal. Navigate to the application of the candidate whose phone number needs to be updated.

View & edit the contact

Once you are in the candidate's application, click on the "View Contact" button to access the candidate's contact information. Click the "Edit Contact" button at the top-right to modify the candidate's contact information.

Update the phone number

Update the candidate's primary phone number. This first phone number field is the field that the system sends One-Time Password (OTP) to. Click the "Save" button to save the updated phone number.

Resend the assessment

After updating the phone number, you will need to resend the Information Request / Self Assessment to the candidate. On the candidate’s Application, select the assessment you would like to resend. The system will prompt you with a modal that states “The person selected has previously been sent this assessment. Would you like to resend the assessment?”. Click on the “Resend" button to confirm and resend the invitation to the candidate's new phone number. For more information, view the article on "Resend or reissue an assessment"

By following these simple steps, you can easily update a candidate's phone number and ensure that they receive the OTP on their new phone number to login to the assessment.
