FranchiseLab Recruiter is a powerful tool for franchisors and franchisees, helping them streamline the recruitment process and find the right candidates for their business. One of the key features of the platform is the ability to configure your brand and franchise details, including your logo, website URL, and contact details. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the various fields available for configuration and how they can be used.
Company Logo
Your company logo is a critical component of your brand identity, and it's important to ensure it's displayed correctly within FranchiseLab. To upload your logo, navigate to the Configuration page and select "Upload Logo" under Company Logo. From there, you can upload your logo image, which should be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format. We recommend using a logo with a transparent background for the best results. The maximum size for the logo is 5 MB, and we recommend using an image that is at least 500 pixels wide for best results. Guidelines on image size and format are available in the FranchiseLab Support documentation under the Assessment logo guidelines.
Once your logo is uploaded, it will be displayed to candidates when they log in to complete their assessments. Additionally, you can use it anywhere in the email template editor as a variable.
Company Website URL
The Company Website URL field allows you to provide the URL to your company website. This URL is used for emails that are sent out to candidates. The footer of those emails has a Contact details section that includes these details. It can also be used anywhere in the email template editor as a variable.
To configure this field, go to Settings, Configuration, and then click on the Company Website URL field. Enter the URL to your company website.
Contact Number
Your contact number is another important detail to configure, as it allows candidates to get in touch with your business. To set your contact number, navigate to the Configuration page and select "Contact Number." Enter your business's phone number, including the area code. This number will be used in emails that are sent out to candidates, and it will be included in the Contact Details section of the email footer. You can also use this variable anywhere in the email template editor.
To configure this field, go to Settings, Configuration, and then click on the Contact Number field. Enter your contact number.
SMS Sender Name
FranchiseLab uses SMS verification to ensure that candidates are who they say they are when logging in to complete their assessments. To configure your SMS Sender Name, navigate to the Configuration page and select "SMS Sender Name." Enter a brand name that is 11 characters or less, starts and ends with an alphanumeric character, and can use a hyphen as a separator. This name will be used as the sender for the SMS message that contains the One Time Password (OTP) for candidates.
To configure this field, go to Settings, Configuration, and then click on the SMS Sender Name field. Enter the name you'd like to use as the sender for SMS messages.
Email Customisation
Body Font Color, Header Font Color, Link Color, Body Background Color, Header Background Color, and Font Family
The remaining configuration fields are related to the appearance of emails sent to candidates. To configure these fields, navigate to the Configuration page and select the appropriate field. You can use the Email Template Editor to preview how the changes will look in practice.

FranchiseLab provides a variety of font options to choose from, categorised by their compatibility with different email viewers and operating systems. Choose a font that best suits your brand's style and ensure that the email templates are easy to read and visually appealing for your candidates.
Country
The Country field is the locale your system has been set up for. This field cannot be updated once set up. The country you select affects your default locations for your location filters on the Contacts, Enquiries, and Application pages. Make sure to select the correct country during the initial setup of your account.
Currency
The Currency field is the default currency associated with your brand. You can configure this field by going to Settings, Configuration, and then Currency. It is only used in the Information Request assessment for your candidates to fill out their assets and liabilities sheet. It is not used for billing and payment purposes. To configure the currency, select the appropriate currency from the drop-down list and save your changes.
Time Zone
The Time Zone field is your local time zone. It is used to display all times, such as when an assessment is completed or when a comment has been added to an application. You can view the time zone you are on by going to Settings, Configuration, and then Time Zone. This field cannot be configured and uses your local desktop (browser) timezone to display the date & times.
Language
The Language field is the default system language. Currently, we only support English (AU). The language field cannot be changed at this time.
Replaceable Terms
You may choose to refer to "franchisees" as "licensees" or use any other terms that fit your brand. We refer to these as Replaceable Terms. The Replaceable Terms settings section allows you to customise the franchising terminology used throughout the system to tailor it to your brand. To configure the Replaceable Terms, go to Settings, Configuration, and then Replaceable Terms. Select the drop-down list to change these terms. This field affects the Information Request & Self Assessment questions for your candidates. It also affects the resulting reports for your viewing and the Final Check. The terms can also be used as variables in the email template editor (to learn more about the Variables in the Email Template Editor, please refer to the article titled "Customise and configure email templates with variables"
