Obtaining your Amazon 2FA Secret Key Manually should only be done in last resort scenarios. Please chat with our live support team first to know if you should follow this process, as there may be an easier way for us to get your account synced!

Steps to obtain your Amazon 2FA Secret Key Manually (Desktop):

  1. Log in to your Amazon.com account.

  2. Click on "Account & Lists" in the top right corner of the page.

  3. Select "Account" from the dropdown menu.

  4. Under the "Login & security" section, click on "Edit" next to "Two-Step Verification (2SV) Settings." Note: If you already have 2 factor authentication enabled, you will first need to disable it. To do so, follow the following steps (IGNORE THESE STEPS IF YOU HAVE NEVER ENABLED 2 FACTOR AUTHENTICATION ON AMAZON BEFORE!):

    1. Press the "Disable" button

    2. Make sure to select "Also clear my Two-Step Verification Settings", and then click "Disable".

    3. You have now disabled 2FA and can continue with Step 5 to re-add it.

  5. Press "Get Started."

  6. Enter your Amazon.com account password and click "Continue."

  7. On the "Enroll a 2SV Authenticator" screen, select "Authenticator App" as your method for receiving 2FA codes.

  8. Under Step 2 in Amazon's instructions, click on the "Can't scan the barcode?" dropdown.

  9. Copy and paste into a notes app or write down the long string of bold characters somewhere secure and easily accessible. This string of characters is your Amazon 2FA Secret Key, and you will need to enter it on FreebieFlow in order to sync your account.

  10. IMPORTANT: You must continue following Amazon's instructions for setting up 2 factor authentication. Once you have completed the setup process, your authenticator app will have a 6 digit code, and your "Two-Step Verification (2SV) Settings" page should look like this on Amazon.

NOTE: If you don't finish setting up 2 factor authentication in your authenticator app, or on Amazon.com, your 2FA Secret Key will not work when entered on FreebieFlow.

  11. You now have your Amazon 2FA Secret Key and can sign into FreebieFlow using it.
