The following support instructions are for freedom.to, the app and website blocker for Mac, Windows, Android, iOS, and ChromeOS.

How to Contact Support

If you're experiencing issues with the Freedom app or have questions, we're here to help. You can contact our support team using one of the methods below.

Option 1: Email Support

  • Send an email to support@freedom.to.

  • Please include details about your issue (see information checklist below).

Option 2: Messenger

  • Log in to your account at freedom.to.

  • Click the Messenger icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to start a conversation.

ℹ️ Freedom uses an automated system to assist with initial inquiries. To speak with a human agent, select the option "Connect to an agent" within the chat or email thread.


Best Practices Before Contacting Support

To help resolve your issue quickly, please review the following troubleshooting resources before reaching out to support. These guides address the most common questions for each platform:

Check for App Updates

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the Freedom app:

  • Mac/Windows: Open the Freedom menu and select "Check for Updates."

  • iOS/Android: Visit the App Store or Google Play Store to check for updates.

What to Include When Contacting Support

Providing detailed information helps us resolve your issue faster. Please include the following:

  • Your Freedom account email address

  • A clear description of the problem, including the device/platform (e.g., iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, ChromeOS)

  • Screenshots or a screen recording showing the issue, if available

  • Steps you've already taken to try to fix the problem

  • When the issue began (e.g., "Started two days ago after installing an update")

  • Business Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM US Eastern Time

  • After Hours: Limited support is available during evenings and weekends.

Response times may be slower outside of business hours. Thank you for your patience!
