Congratulations—your solar panels are on and producing!
It’s exciting to see your system in action, but you may still notice fluctuations in your utility bill. This can be surprising at first, so we’ve outlined some helpful steps and insights to better understand what may be happening.

🔍 Steps to Better Understand Your Solar Production

  1. Check Your Solar Monitoring App
Log into your monitoring application (e.g., SolarEdge or Enphase) to review your system’s current and historical production data.

  2. Consider Weather Conditions
Changes in weather—like cloudy or stormy days—can reduce your solar production temporarily. This is normal and expected.

  3. Review Any Alerts

    • If your system is showing an alert, check how long it's been active.

    • If the alert has persisted for more than 72 hours, please contact Freedom Forever Customer Support for assistance.

    • If it’s been less than 72 hours, we recommend continuing to monitor for any changes.

  4. No Alerts, No Drop in Production? That’s a Good Sign!
If there are no alerts and your production appears consistent, your system is operating normally.

🏠 Evaluate Changes Within Your Home

If production is normal, but your utility bill has increased, consider these possible changes:

  • Has the number of people living in your home increased?

  • Have you added or started using new appliances (e.g., EV chargers, space heaters, air conditioners)?

  • Is your overall energy usage higher than before?

These changes can impact your utility bill—even with a solar system.

💡 Contact Your Utility Provider for Detailed Billing Questions

Freedom Forever is happy to help with questions about your system's production. However, your utility company:

  • Tracks your energy usage

  • Provides detailed billing data

  • Is the best resource for understanding specific charges or rate changes
