Reconnecting your Envoy S or IQ Gateway using the Enphase App

If you’re experiencing connection issues with your Enphase Envoy S or IQ Gateway, especially after changing your Wi-Fi network, this guide will walk you through the steps to reconnect your system using the Enphase App.

⚠️ These instructions apply if your Envoy or IQ Gateway is connected via Wi-Fi and you’ve recently changed your Internet Service Provider (ISP), Wi-Fi network name (SSID), or password.


🔧 What You’ll Need:

  • A smartphone or tablet connected to your home's current Wi-Fi network

  • Your home Wi-Fi password

  • The Enphase App (available on the App Store or Google Play)


📱 Step-by-Step: Reconnecting with the Enphase App

  1. Open the Enphase App
    Launch the app on your mobile device. Make sure your device is connected to your home’s Wi-Fi network.

  2. Tap on the Menu (☰)
    In the upper corner of the app, select the menu to open additional settings.

  3. Select “Devices”
    Under the menu options, choose “Devices” to see the status of your Envoy or IQ Gateway.

  4. Tap on Your Gateway
    You should see your Envoy S or IQ Gateway listed. Select it to open the device settings.

  5. Choose “Wi-Fi Settings”
    Tap on “Wi-Fi Settings” to begin updating the connection details.

  6. Reconnect to Wi-Fi
    Enter your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Be sure all information is correct, then confirm.

  7. Wait for Confirmation
    The app will attempt to reconnect your Envoy or IQ Gateway to your Wi-Fi. This process may take a few minutes. Once successful, you’ll see a confirmation message and your system status will update.


✅ What Happens Next?

Once reconnected, your Enphase system will resume sending performance data to your Enphase account. It may take a few minutes to update.

If the app fails to reconnect:

  • Double-check your Wi-Fi credentials

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router

  • Power cycle the Envoy/Gateway

  • Try again using the steps above
