This page is a resource for administrators and non-administrative staff members experiencing permissions-related issues on the Frenalytics website.
First, some background on permissions in Frenalytics:
When an administrator or staff member creates a new staff account, they are allowed to select from a list of permissions which permissions they would like that member to have.
Frenalytics allows administrators to adjust this group of permissions:
What Each Permission Controls:
The "Create students" permission allows users to create new student profiles
The "Manage all students" permission allows staff members to create new groups
The "Access Content Library" permission allows users to view the content library and assign content to students as skills or goals
The "Edit student demographics and settings" permission allows users to adjust the details behind student accounts
The "Create and approve family accounts" permission allows users to adjust other Family accounts’ permissions
The "Create and approve staff accounts" permission allows users to add new staff member accounts and adjust other staff accounts’ permissions
The "Run Learning Session" permission allows users to start learning sessions for family members
The "Customize questions and sections" permission allows users to write custom questions for students in questionnaires
The "Write progress notes" permission allows users to write progress notes for students. For more information about this permission, visit this help article
The "Manage settings and billing" permission allows users to manage their account settings and edit their billing and FrenalyticsEDU plan
How to Fix This:
Note: Only administrators and individuals with “create and approve accounts” permission enabled can help to troubleshoot this problem.
As circled in yellow, your error message will display the name of an administrator in your system who can help you.
For Staff with “Create and Approve Accounts” permissions enabled:
Follow these quick steps to adjust the requesting family member’s permissions:
Login to Frenalytics, and go to the left menu bar selection titled “Staff”.
Click on the requesting staff member’s name in the Staff table. A drawer will appear on the right-hand side with their information.
Click on the blue “Edit” button in the top-right corner:
Adjust by checking the box for the permission you would like to enable.
Save and refresh the page when complete.
