Analytic Customer Tags

Tag your customers with specific key words, making it easier to generate custom reports in Data Mode.

Updated over 3 months ago

You can now group certain Products or Customers for reporting purposes, using any categories you choose. These 'Tags' help to streamline reporting and allows you to filter specific groupings for a more in-depth analysis using Data Mode.

Example:

Some example Tags for Customers are:

  • Group: Filter by venue groups where you sell to multiple venues across a single business

  • Customer Type: Filter by customer type, such as hotels, schools, pubs etc

Add Tags to Customers

You can add tags to customers one by one, or via bulk upload.

Manually

  1. Navigate to your Customers tab, and click into a customer.

  2. Click into the 'Analytics tags' section and enter in a tag. We recommend using the following format Category: Tag.

    • In order for reporting to work, the tag needs to be consistent across all customers that you add it to. For example, 'Customer Type: Cafe'.

    • Once you've added a tag to a customer, it will show as a suggestion in the drop down when editing other customers

  3. You can add as many tags as you like.

In Bulk

  1. Navigate to your Customers list, and select 'Export/Import'

  2. Export' your products list, and open this as a CSV

  3. Using Excel or a similar system, scroll along to the last column and edit the tag column with your specific tag. If you're adding multiple tags per customer, please be sure to use a vertical bar / pipe ( | ) in-between each entry as shown below

  4. Save the CSV and use the 'Import' button to load this back into Fresho. If there are any errors, Fresho will alert you

Reporting

To report on your tags, navigate to Data Mode in the top left hand corner of your dashboard:

  1. Select the type of report you wish to generate, select the date filter and hit Update

  2. Use Customer Tags to further filter the results.

Note: The tags you select all need to be true in order for data to generate. For example, if you're trying to narrow down the search to show Sales by Customers, with the tags 'Customer Type: Cafe' and 'Group: Fresho Coffee Pty Ltd' selected, it will only show customers that are tagged with both the exact customer type and group. It will not show all results for both Cafes and venues within Fresho Coffee Pty Ltd.
