The Room Unavailable message appears on the reservation screen when clicking on a box on the Tape Chart that is supposed to be empty.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot:

  • Unassigned Rooms

It might be that there are unassigned reservations in your PMS for the date you are choosing.
Unassigned reservations appear in the Unassigned row, either on room type level:

Or on the Tape Chart level:

If in any of these two rows there is a 1, then proceed to assign them to the available rooms.

After you finish assigning rooms, double check that you still have availability and try to click on the empty box again (assuming it is still empty after you assign those reservations).

  • Published Rooms

Ensure you're not protecting any room. Protecting rooms reduces availability values by a certain number configured by your system admin.

In the Admin Settings, click on the link Published Rooms under section Rooms.

Ensure that no room is set to be protected on the Frontdesk channel. The channel drop down menu selection is found on top of the central tab.

If you are protecting rooms on the channel Frontdesk, then this is what causes the last rooms not to be available and bookable. Proceed to place a '0' under column Protect and click on the button SAVE.
