Need to record your screen to report a bug in the app from your iPhone or iPad?
Good news: iOS has a built-in feature that makes it quick and easy to capture a video of your screen. Here's how to do it:
✅ Enable Screen Recording
Before you start, make sure the feature is enabled in the Control Centre:
1. Go to Settings > Control Centre.
2. Scroll down to "Screen Recording".
3. Tap the + button to add it to your Control Centre.
▶️ Record Your Screen
Once the feature is enabled:
1. Open the Control Centre:
- Swipe down from the top-right corner (iPhone X or later).
- Or swipe up from the bottom of the screen (older models).
2. Tap the Recording icon (a solid circle inside a ring).
3. A 3-second countdown will appear, then the recording will begin.
4. To include microphone audio, press and hold the icon, then turn the Microphone on before starting.
⏹️ Stop the Recording
- Tap the red bar at the top of the screen, or open the Control Centre again and tap the icon.
- The video will be automatically saved to your Photos app.
📂 Where to Find Your Video
- Open the Photos app.
- Go to the Recents or Videos album.
- From there, you can watch, edit, or share your recording.
