What is a Fun Box?

A Fun Box is an independent container that can organize multiple Locations, Schedules, and Offerings.

In FunJoin, the different types of Sessions and Programs you provide are organized into their own “Fun Box” types.

Benefits of Fun Box Types

You can create a unique Customer Experience for each Fun Box. From the Calendar View to the Scheduling Flow, you can tailor the experience to fit your different customers’ needs.

Every type of Fun Box has its own features and functionality. We built in the powerful features your team needs and removed the ones you don’t.

Instead of a “one-size-fits-all” experience, Fun Box types allow you to provide different services in an intuitive and organized way.

When to Use Different Fun Box Types

If you offer different categories of services.
Example: Science Summer Camp and Science After School Program would have different Fun Box types.

If you have Sessions or Programs with very different schedules or ways of operating.

Example: Day Camp and Overnight Camp would each have their own Fun Box.

If you have Sessions and Programs that are available to the Public and Sessions and Programs that are only available to Private Groups.

Example: Public Day Camps and Private Day Camps would have different Fun Box types.

Hidden Fun Box

FunJoin allows you to make a Fun Box "Hidden." A Hidden Fun Box operates almost identically to other Fun Box types, except the Fun Box is not publicly available to all Customers.

A Hidden Fun Box will not be available to all your Customers in the Customer Hub. Your Customers can access a Hidden Fun Box via the Fun Box URL. They will not be able to access a Hidden Fun Box unless you provide them with the Fun Box URL.

After a Customer is given access to a Hidden Fun Box, they can Buy Credits, Schedule, and Pay, and Manage their Camp as usual.

You can use a Hidden Fun Box if you offer Sessions and Programs that can only be purchased by a select or private group.

Do’s and Don’t

Do's

  • Use a Fun Box to organize Sessions or Programs across multiple Locations.

  • Remember that Schedules do not sync across Fun Box types. Each Fun Box will have its own Schedule/Schedule Sets.

Don'ts

  • Don’t forget that once created, the Fun Box type cannot be changed.

  • Don't make a Fun Box Hidden if you want the general public to find it.
