When a news event occurs, traders are not allowed to open, close, or modify trades within 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after red folder news that directly affects the traded instrument.
For example, when trading GBP/USD, only red news related to GBP or USD applies.
Restricted Actions During the 5-Minute Window
During the restricted period (5 minutes before and 5 minutes after a news event), the following actions are not allowed:
Opening new trades (Market Execution or Limit Orders)
Closing trades (Market Execution or Limit Orders)
Modifying Stop Loss or Take Profit levels
Placing Buy Stop or Sell Stop orders
