News Trading Rules

Policy Overview

News trading is allowed during all challenge phases (1 Phase, 2 Phase, GenZ Evaluations).

Definition of Restricted Period

A restricted period is defined as:

• 4 minutes before a high-impact economic news event

• 4 minutes after the news release

A high-impact news event refers to any economic announcement or report that can significantly impact market volatility (as per the economic calendar adopted by FunderBlu).

Rules by Account Type

1. Challenge Phase Accounts (1 Phase, 2 Phase, GenZ Evaluations)

• News trading is fully allowed

• No restrictions during high-impact news events

2. Funded Accounts During the restricted period, the following are not allowed:

• Opening new market or pending orders

• Triggering pending orders

• Trade execution via stop loss or take profit

• Any trade entry or exit executed within the restricted period

Example: Any execution during this time will be considered news trading and may result in a rule violation.

Trades Opened Before News

Trades opened before the restricted period can remain open.

However:

• If any execution (SL/TP/entry/exit) occurs during the restricted period

• It will be considered a rule violation

Market Risk Disclaimer

High-impact news events may cause:

• Price gapping

• Slippage

• Spread widening

• Execution delays

Example: FunderBlu is not responsible for losses resulting from such conditions.

Trader Responsibility

Traders are responsible for:

• Monitoring the economic calendar

• Managing trades to avoid restricted-period execution (if applicable)
