Recommended browser – we suggest using the Chrome browser for optimal performance, as most of our testing is conducted on it. Chrome's kiosk mode feature makes it easy to run the Fusion Web Player seamlessly.
Handy tip – if you plan to use the Web Player long-term, consider installing one of our dedicated player applications compatible with your operating system or device manufacturer. These apps generally offer better playback quality and more reliable support.
Setup instructions
To set up the Fusion Web Player:
Download a browser capable of running in kiosk mode.
Set the URL to:
https://player.fusionsignage.com.au/
Example for Windows:
Download Chrome.
Create a desktop shortcut to Chrome (or edit the one created during installation).
Right-click the shortcut and select Properties.
In the Target field, append the following:
--kiosk https://player.fusionsignage.com.au/
So it should look like:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --kiosk https://player.fusionsignage.com.au/
Tip – ensure the path matches your Chrome installation location on your system.
Click OK to save.
Copy this shortcut to your Windows startup folder to launch automatically on boot.
Access this folder via:Start > Run > Shell:Startup
Or press Windows Key + R, then type Shell:Startup.
Resetting / clearing cache or identity
If you're experiencing issues with the Fusion Signage Web Player and need to reset your application, follow these steps:
Warning – resetting will remove all content and reset your identity code. You will need to replace the identity code assigned to the screen within the portal.
Step 1: Clear browser cache
Chrome and edge browsers:
Open your browser and navigate to https://player.fusionsignage.com.au.
Press Ctrl + Shift + I to open Developer Tools.
Navigate to Application > Storage on the left.
Click Clear site data on the right.
Firefox:
Open Firefox and go to https://player.fusionsignage.com.au.
Click on the padlock icon at the left of the address bar.
Clear site data or cookies related to the site.
Click Remove.
Step 2: Refresh the browser
Refresh the page or revisit https://player.fusionsignage.com.au.
You should see a new identity code and no pre-existing content.
Step 3: Replace the old identity with the new identity
Go to Deploy and click the name of the screen you are working on.
Click the 2 arrow icon next to the old identity code.
Enter in the new identity code and select Replace.
Alternatively, you can re-add the screen to your Fusion Signage account.
Before deleting the old screen, note the following:
Screen name
Timezone (click on the screen in the portal to view)
Current playlist / schedule
Log in to your Fusion Signage portal at https://app.fusionsignage.com.au.
Navigate to Deploy.
Find the screen you want to replace, check the box next to its name, and click Delete in the top right.
Click Add Screen at the top right.
On your screen, you'll see a 5-6 digit Identity code.
Enter this code into the pop-up box.
Provide a name (the one you noted), select the licence, set the timezone, and click Add.
Your screen is now linked to your account, ready for new content.
