Create a forecast

Select the Create option at the top of any page in Futrli, or select the Create option when in the Forecasts tab.
Select the type of forecast to create.
Enter a Name.
Complete any other setup required for the forecast type:
- P&L budget: Select a Start date
- 3-way forecast: Select an option to pay down outstanding receivables and payables:
  - Pay down manually: Select a Start date and Duration
  - Use individual due invoices: Select a Duration
Choose an option to Add predictions:
- Use predictions based on last year's actuals
- Use Futrli automated predictions
- Copy predictions from an existing budget or forecast
- Upload predictions from an Excel spreadsheet: Not available for consolidations
- Start from scratch without predictions
- Combine existing forecasts or budgets from multiple organisations: Consolidations only
Select Create.

Forecast creation methods

Use predictions based on last year's actuals	Creates predictions based on the values from the same period in the previous year.
Use Futrli's automated predictions	Creates predictions automatically for each account using Futrli's prediction engine.
Copy predictions from an existing budget or forecast	Duplicates predictions from an existing P&L budget or 3-way forecast.
Upload predictions from an Excel spreadsheet	Use an Excel template to upload predictions into the forecast or budget.
Start from scratch without predictions	No predictions will be added to any account. For balance sheet accounts, the opening balances are creating using your latest actual data balance.
Combine existing forecasts or budgets from multiple organisations	Only available for Consolidations. Select existing forecasts or budgets to combine into one consolidated view.

After you create a forecast, it appears as a Draft under the relevant forecast type on the Forecasts page.
