In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of giving access to users in specific areas within your institution. Whether you're an administrator or someone responsible for managing access, this step-by-step tutorial will assist you in getting the job done. One way to give access to new users is through your institution's administration dashboard.

  • Navigate to the layer you want to give access to

  • Click on the user icon located on the right side of the screen or on the user management button in the layer menu

  • A model will open, showing the current user list for the selected layer.

  • Click the "Add Users" button

Here we can search for users, select which role we would like them to have and click on the ones that we would like to add. If the user already exists in this institution, they will simply get the new permissions added to their account. If the user doesn't exist, they will get an invitation email which will guide them through their joining process. If you don't know which role to pick, please refer to our article on the Different Roles at Fuxam.

Another option is to copy the Invite Link which will be valid for 24 hours and can be shared in your preferred communication channels (e.g., Slack, WhatsApp). Be cautious when using this option, as anyone with the link can join the specified layer.

Access Granted! Once you've added users, they will gain access to all the resources and content within the specified layer. This includes semesters, courses, and any other relevant information.

Granting access to specific areas within your institution has never been easier! Use this guide to efficiently manage user access, and don't forget to exercise caution when using the "Quick Invite" feature to avoid sharing access with unintended recipients.
