Why are my “No Label” rules not working?

Fyxer AI applies labels based on simple, specific rule logic. It only checks the following when deciding which label to apply:

  1. Sender Email Address
→ If the email is from an address listed in your Fyxer AI rules, that rule applies

  2. Sender Domain (e.g. @bmw.com)
→ If the email is from a domain in your rules, that rule applies

  3. Email Subject (Full text match)
→ If the email subject exactly matches a rule, that rule applies

Fyxer AI does not check who the email was sent to. Rules based on the recipient address (e.g. “If sent to my BMW email”) won’t work.

Common Issues with “No Label” Rules

  • Typos in email addresses, domains, or subject lines

  • Using partial matches (e.g. “Weekly Report”) instead of full subject lines

  • Creating rules based on the recipient instead of the sender

  • Formatting issues in Outlook's native rule settings

Troubleshooting

  1. Double-check your rule setup in the Fyxer AI dashboard
Make sure the rule matches the sender’s email address or domain exactly.

  2. Review Outlook's built-in rules (if used)
If you’ve created Outlook rules that move emails to folders or apply labels, they might conflict. Try disabling them to test.

  3. Re-add your rules carefully
Delete and recreate the Fyxer AI rules - most errors happen due to a small typo.

  4. Sign out and back into your inbox
This can help sync any changes, especially after editing rules.
