If you regularly get emails from the same senders or with familiar subjects, Fyxer’s email rules can help you auto-sort them.

These rules let you decide how specific emails are categorized, so your inbox stays cleaner and more focused.

Set up an email rule

  1. Head to your Fyxer AI Dashboard

  2. Go to Settings > Fyxer email rules

  3. Click “Add email or subject”

You can create rules based on

  • Sender email → e.g. jenny@company.com

  • Domain → e.g. *@newsletter.com

  • Subject keywords → e.g. “Weekly Report”

Then, choose the Fyxer category you’d like these emails to go to, for example: Assign newsletters to “2: FYI” instead of “8: Marketing”

Once saved, Fyxer will automatically apply this logic to new emails, so you spend less time sorting and more time responding to what matters.

Respect user-applied labels (optional setting)

In the Preferences section of your dashboard, you’ll find a toggle for:

“Respect user-applied labels”

  • ON: Fyxer will skip emails that already have a label (e.g. from Gmail/Outlook filters/rules or your manual tags).

  • OFF: Fyxer will categorize all emails, even if they already have labels.

This is especially helpful if you already use rules or want Fyxer to step back from certain workflows.
