Get to know Gabb Watch 3e settings & apps

This article will help you get to know your Gabb Watch 3e settings and explains some of the apps and features that come pre-installed on the watch.

⏰ Apps on Gabb Watch 3e

The Gabb Watch 3e comes with many preinstalled apps, including Gabb Messenger, Mimic by Gabb, wallpaper, themes, and Gabb Go™. Read on for more information about the preinstalled apps on Gabb OS2 for Gabb Watch 3e. 👇

Alarm

Your child can set alarms on their Gabb Watch 3e. Follow these steps to add a new alarm on the Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Alarm. ⏰

  3. Tap the plus sign. ➕

  4. Set frequency, days, alarm tone, and note for your alarm.

  5. Tap the check mark. ✔️

After you’ve created an alarm, you can toggle it on & off from the main Alarm screen.

Calculator

The Gabb Watch 3e comes with a preinstalled calculator. To access the calculator on the Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Calculator.

Long press on the backspace button to show the All Clear (AC) button.

Gabb Go

Gabb Go™ is a motivational task-tracking game that lets kids earn digital coins by completing tasks from parents. Kids can use these coins to care for a virtual pet. Gabb Go also has a built-in step tracker.

We have 12 pets available, including a dog, octopus, axolotl, & unicorn. 🐶

To open Gabb Go:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Gabb Go. 🐾

To complete a task on Gabb Go:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Gabb Go. 🐾

  3. Swipe to Tasks, then tap Tasks.

  4. Tap the check box to complete the task. You’ll get a notification in your MyGabb app saying the task has been completed.

After you approve the completed task, coins will be added to Gabb Go. Your child can then use coins to take care of their pet, or even buy a new pet.

Gabb Messenger

Your child can send & receive messages safely with Gabb Messenger™ on the Gabb Watch 3e. Your child can send multiple types of messages—preset messages, emojis, audio messages, Speech-to-Text, and group messages.

To open Gabb Messenger on the Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Messages. 💬

Preset messages

To send a preset message:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then tap Messages.

  2. Open the message thread.

  3. Swipe up to see the list of preset messages.

  4. Tap the preset message you want to send.

Emojis

The Gabb Watch has a built-in emoji keyboard. To send an emoji:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then tap Messages.

  2. Open the message thread.

  3. Tap the smiley face icon. 🙂

  4. Tap the emoji you want to send.

Audio messages

Your child can send recorded audio messages to their preapproved contacts. To send an audio message on the Gabb Watch 3e:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then tap Messages.

  2. Open the message thread.

  3. Tap the microphone icon. 🎙️

  4. Record your audio message, then tap the stop button.

  5. Tap the arrow button ▶️ to send the audio message.

Speech-to-text

Speech-to-Text allows your child to “type” a text message by speaking into their watch. Here’s how to use Speech-to-Text on the Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then tap Messages.

  2. Open the message thread.

  3. Tap the keyboard icon. ⌨️

  4. Swipe to the Speech-to-Text screen.

  5. Tap the record icon to start transcribing a message.

  6. Tap the same button to stop recording, then wait a moment while the message is transcribed.

  7. Tap the arrow icon to send the message.

The watch must be signed in to Gabb ID to use Speech-to-Text.

Group messages

Gabb Messenger™ on the Gabb Watch lets your child send and receive group messages with their preapproved contacts.

Here’s how to send a group message on the Gabb Watch 3e:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then tap Messages.

  2. Tap New Message.

  3. Select multiple contacts to add them to the group message.

  4. After all of the contacts have been selected:

    1. Tap Start Group.

    2. Compose your message.

    3. Tap the arrow button ▶️ to send the message.

If a group message includes a contact that is not in your child’s approved contacts list, none of those messages will be delivered to your child. An automated message will be sent to the approved contacts, letting them know your child did not get the group message. Group messages that include an unapproved contact won’t come through, but your child can still see which approved contacts were in the group.

If you add the unknown contact to your approved contacts list, it will show the content of the messages that have already been sent.

Mimic by Gabb

Mimic by Gabb™ challenges kids to repeat patterns and sequences, strengthening focus and memory with every round.

To play Mimic by Gabb:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Mimic by Gabb.

  3. Press the Play button ▶️ to start the game.

Phone

Making and ending a call

To make a call on the Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Phone. 📞

  3. Tap the contact you want to call, press and hold the green phone button, then swipe right to make a call.

    1. Press the red phone button to end the call.

Making an SOS call

To make an SOS call from the Gabb Watch, press & hold the back button (top button) for four seconds. Please note that SOS calls do not connect to emergency services.

Stopwatch

Stopwatch helps your child track time by counting up.

To use the Stopwatch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Stopwatch. ⏱️

    1. Tap the Play button ▶️ to start the Stopwatch.

    2. Tap Pause button ⏸️ to pause the Stopwatch.

    3. Tap the Reset button 🔄 to reset the Stopwatch.

Timer

Timer helps your child track time by counting down.

To use the Timer:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Timer. ⌛

  3. Select how long to set the Timer for, then tap the Play button ▶️ to start the Timer.

    1. Tap the Pause button ⏸️ to pause the Timer.

    2. Tap the Reset button 🔄 to reset the Timer.

Wallpaper

Your child can choose from 20+ wallpapers on their Gabb Watch 3e. We have static & dynamic wallpapers, and some wallpapers feature app icons for easy access to Gabb Go, Messages, and Phone.

To change the wallpaper on your child’s Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen.

  2. Tap Wallpaper.

Swipe to the wallpaper you want to use, then tap the check mark. ✔️

⚙️ Settings on Gabb Watch 3e

You can control the Gabb Watch 3e with a variety of settings. Read more about these settings below. 👇

Volume

To adjust the volume of your Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Volume.

  3. Adjust the slider up or down to change the volume of the watch.

  4. Tap Vibrate to turn vibration on or off.

Ringtone and message tone

You can change the ringtone & text message tone in the Settings menu. Here’s how:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Ringtones.

    1. Tap the phone icon 📞 to change the ringtone.

    2. Tap the message icon 💬 to change the text tone.

Theme

With theme settings, your child can make their watch their own by picking the background and colors they like best.

Background

The Background setting lets your child choose between Dark Mode & Light Mode.

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Theme, then tap Background.

  3. Swipe between Dark Mode & Light Mode, then tap the check mark ✔️to apply the background.

Color

The Color setting has five different color buttons to choose from. Here’s how to change the color on your Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Theme, then tap Color.

  3. Choose the color you want for the buttons, then tap the ✔️ check mark to save your choice.

Display

The Display Settings menu controls Brightness, Flashlight, Orientation, Screen Timeout, & Wake Screen.

Brightness

To adjust screen brightness on your Gabb Watch:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Display, then tap Brightness.

  3. Adjust the slider up and down to change the brightness of the watch screen.

Flashlight

Need a little light? The screen brightens to turn the watch into a quick flashlight.

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Display, then tap Flashlight. 🔦

Tap either of the side buttons on the watch (top or bottom) to turn the flashlight off.

Orientation

Choose the Orientation of left wrist or right wrist:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Display.

  3. Tap Orientation.

  4. Tap Left Wrist or Right Wrist, then tap the check mark ✔️to save the orientation setting.

Screen timeout

Set how long the watch’s screen stays lit before it times out:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Display, then tap Screen Timeout.

  3. Select the screen timeout length you want, then tap the check mark. ✔️

Raise to Wake

Raise to Wake controls whether or not the screen lights up when the watch is raised. Your child can turn Raise to Wake on or off. Here’s how:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Raise to Wake.

  3. Toggle Raise to Wake on or off.

WiFi

Here’s how to connect your Gabb Watch 3e to Wi-Fi:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Wi-Fi. 🛜

  3. Toggle Wi-Fi on.

  4. Tap the network you want to join, enter the password (if applicable), then tap the check mark ✔️to confirm.

Bluetooth

Your child can connect Bluetooth devices, such as headphones, to their Gabb Watch 3e. Here’s how to connect your Gabb Watch to a Bluetooth device:

  1. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  2. Tap Bluetooth.

  3. Toggle Bluetooth on.

  4. Tap the device you want to connect.

System updates

Follow these steps to update the system on your watch:

  1. Connect your Gabb Watch to WiFi. 🛜

  2. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  3. Tap System Updates.

  4. Place your Gabb watch on the charger, then charge it to at least 30%.

  5. Tap the arrow button. ⬇️ Your watch will update, then restart after the update is complete.

Keep your Gabb Watch on the charger until after the watch restarts.

App updates

Follow these steps to update the apps on your Gabb Watch:

  1. Connect your Gabb Watch to WiFi. 🛜

  2. Swipe to the Apps screen, then scroll down and tap Settings. ⚙️

  3. Tap App Updates.

  4. Place your watch on the charger, then charge it to at least 30%.

  5. Tap the arrow button ⬇️ to update apps.

  6. Leave the watch on the charger for at least 15 minutes to ensure that all of the apps are updated.

About Device

The About Device screen displays information about your Gabb Watch 3e, including mobile number, Gabb ID (when logged in), IMEI, ICCID, System Version, Hardware Version, Memory (RAM), & Storage (ROM).
