Wi-Fi setup

Step 1: Configure your printer

First, you need to make sure your printer is connected to your wifi.

  1. If you’re not already on the main screen, navigate there now using [↩] button.

  2. Press the [Menu] button.

  3. Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select WLAN > WLAN (On/Off) > On in the settings menu. Press [OK].

  4. Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select WLAN > Infra Manual Setting in the settings menu. Press [OK]. Your printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Remember, your printer and iPad will be on the same network.

  5. Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select your desired network. Press OK.

  6. Provide your password - Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select the correct characters. It will say "connected" once it connects successfully.

  7. Press the [↩] button to return to the main screen. You should see the Wi-Fi icon in the top right.

Step 2: Find the IP address of the printer

  1. Use the [▲] and [▼] buttons to select WLAN > WLAN Status > Infrastructure Mode in the settings menu. Press [OK].

  2. Next to IP Addr, you’ll see the IP address. (series of digits identifies your specific printer).

Step 3: Pair the printer with Gable

  1. On your computer, go to your Gable Admin account and go to ‘Company admin’ → ‘Settings’ → ‘Visitor Management’

  2. Click on ‘Connected HQs’ and then click on the printer icon for the relevant HQ.

  3. Select your printer model (Brother-QL-820NWB)

  4. Select Wi-fi

  5. Name your printer in a name that will be easy to recognize.

  6. Type the printer IP address under ‘IP Address’ and click ‘Save’.

Step 4: Test Printer

  1. Use the ipad to make a full visitor sign-in.
