How Production Records Are Created at a Central Kitchen

A Central Kitchen's production records are generated automatically from the orders schools place with the CK. CK staff do not enter forecasts the way site kitchens do; the CK PR is built from the sum of all incoming school orders for a given day. When a school edits or places a new order, the CK PR updates to reflect the change.

Editing the Daily Production View

CK staff can edit the daily production view to record actuals. This works like a standard production report.

Viewing the By-School Breakdown

On the CK daily production card, hover over an offering's total number of servings or volume to see the breakdown of total production by school. This shows how much of each offering each ordering school needs, which is the basis for packing.

Printing the Packing Breakdown

Right-click then select Export Production slip to print the packing breakdown. The print shows each school and the quantity of each offering they ordered, so the CK team can portion and label appropriately before distribution.
