Accessing Gamoteca through a Moodle Plugin

If you have a Moodle or Moodle workspace account, here is how you can make use of Gamoteca’s Moodle Plugin for your organisation.

1. Access the Gamoteca Creator Platform

The Gamoteca Creator platform allows you to create interactive learning experiences or what we call TECAs (Technology Enabled Collaborative Activities). All you have to do is sign in and start creating. You can check out the “Create your game” article for more guidance on creating a TECA on Gamoteca.

2. Integrate Gamoteca & Moodle

Download the Gamoteca Moodle plugin to connect any TECAs you have created. This plugin provides a progress-trackable link to a TECA on the Gamoteca website / mobile app. It also includes a web service that allows Gamoteca to send user data, like game progress and scores, back to the LMS.

The link to Gamoteca will include the following data:

  • Module ID

  • User ID

  • Site Code (to identify the Moodle site that the link is coming from)

    Note: The Moodle plugin requires a Gamoteca Pro or Enterprise licence to integrate with Moodle.

3: Launch your TECA

Now that you have connected your Moodle account, share the TECA with your team so they can begin learning!
