Before you begin cooking up your own learning experiences (games), you might need a little help from a tried and tested recipe to get you started. Gamoteca has made available a number of exciting templates to all creators for free, including Onboarding, Mentoring, Interviewing, Public Speaking and many more. This will allow you to use and adapt them for your own learning designs . To use them follow these steps.

When you first create your Gamoteca account, you will see the following screen:

1 Click on the button placed at the lower right hand side titled, “View Templates”

2. You will see a screen where you can see all the templates. In order to view them, simply click on the one you are interested in.

3. In the new screen, you will see a description of the learning experience (game) and you also get the opportunity to take a look at it in detail by clicking the “View design button.”

4. Once you click the “View design button” you can scroll through the template screens and you can also test the game by clicking the button on the right hand side titled, “Test game”. Using that will allow you to visualize the learners do.

5. If you would like to use a template you will need to copy that template to your own work space. You begin this by going back to the main screen and click on “Copy game template”. You will see the message indicating that you can copy the learning experience to your own personal work space. If you are a member of more than one workspace (if you have a Gamoteca Pro Account) then you will be able to choose from different workspaces.

6. To locate your own workspace, click on the button with your personal icon located at the menu in the left hand side.

If you have a Gamoteca free account you are able to keep 3 games for free in your personal workspace, including template games that you have copied or adapted.
