How To Create A Task In Schedule View:
Creating a task in the schedule view in gantterAi couldn’t be easier. All you have to do is go into a blank row in the Name category and type the name of the task in, then click out of it and you will see a number and info appear in the form of different icons under the info column.
How to Create a Task in Board View:
Creating a task in the board view is almost as easy. Click on the board option on the vertical menu on the left side of the project screen and then click on the button that says add tag.
Note: No matter how you add tasks in either view they can be seen both ways. Tasks will auto sync from schedule view to your board and from your board to your schedule view.
Then it will open up a task properties box where you can enter specifics and information about the task and then hit “add task” at the bottom right corner and the task will appear as a tag in planning on the bottom of the board.
Notes:
You can create a resource in the right side toolbar, under the “Resources” tab, or by double-clicking on the task to open Task Properties. Once you are under “Resource”, you can name the resource and pick a resource type. A type of resource could be a “Worker” or “Material”.
Once you have created the resource, you can then assign it to the task.
If the Resource is a material such as a “paint bucket”, you can change the units needed to complete the task from one to more units.
The critical path is the tasks with no slack. Meaning it is the task that if delayed would delay the whole project.
A task has a slack of one day if it can be delayed for one day without delaying the entire project. A task with zero slack is on the critical path.
It has a lot to do with the predecessor relationships (dependencies between tasks)
You will see the color changed from the normal Blue bar to a red color. Highlighting the task in ganttchart.
