Change a predecessor's dependency type
Double-click the task to open Task Properties.
Open the Predecessors tab.
Tick the task that has to happen first, then choose the dependency type, for example Finish-to-start.
Click Save Task.
Read the dependency like a sentence: (the ticked task) must finish to start (this task). The same logic applies to the other types:
Finish-to-start: this task starts after the predecessor finishes.
Start-to-start: this task starts when the predecessor starts.
Finish-to-finish: this task finishes when the predecessor finishes.
Start-to-finish: this task finishes when the predecessor starts.
Add a scheduling constraint
A scheduling constraint controls when gantterAi™ places an auto-scheduled task.
In Task Properties, click the gear icon at the top right to open the advanced settings.
Choose a constraint, for example As soon as possible (ASAP) or As late as possible (ALAP).
Click Save Task.
