Do you have template events we can start with?

Yes! You’ll see our templates when you click “Create Event” or by navigating to https://gatheround.com/templates. You can use those events exactly as they are, or you can customize them to suit your preferences. We are actively releasing new event content, so please keep an eye out for new additions, or sent us a message for specific requests! No promises, but it’s good to know what you’d like to see.

Can we customize or change the card prompts and the amount of time the game runs?

Absolutely. Whether you’re starting from scratch or using one of our event templates you can alter the prompts in the game editor. You can also do this while the event is live. Simply click on the pencil icon next to the game name.

Can you reuse an event multiple times? If I wanted to host the same event twice, do I have to create the event all over again?

You can run your events as many times as you like. However, we recommend duplicating your event if you’d like to clear the chat history. If you do choose to duplicate the event, the URL for the duplicated event will be unique.

Can we plan to re-run events?

Yes. You can select the game from your account page, and edit anything you’d like to update or keep it exactly the same. The URL for the event will remain the same, even if you change event details.

Can we control who matches?

You cannot set specific matches. The default matching remembers who has matched in the past (across all Gatheround events) and optimizes to give people new partners whenever possible.

In addition, if there are two groups you’d like to match across — so that a person from group A always matches with a person from group B, when possible —we do have that capability. Take a look at the A/B Matching topic within Advanced Features. In tandem with Advanced Matching Features, you also have control over Match Size — whether games are 1-on-1 or in small groups of approximately four. Take a look at Small Group Matching within Frequently Asked Questions.
