Interactivity allows us to create communication experiences where exploration is the center. You can also add information layers and create more visual content without knowing anything about programming.

  • Embed content in the workspace

  • Embed content in a pop-up window

Embed content in the workspace

There are several types of interactivity you can include. You can embed or insert content such as videos, google maps, twitter timelines, charts, online forms, etc, directly to the workspace. The embedded content invites you to click, interact with the content, explore.

In the Embed external content section you will find many articles that explain how to insert different kinds of content including pdf, calculator, charts, google drive documents, etc, to the workspace.

Embed content in a pop-up window

Organize your information in “layers” with Genially by using tags and pop-up windows that allow your audience to explore the content in phases according to your needs. This way you will reduce the number of pages of your creation and avoid disengaging your audience from your genially by visiting another website to view a video, for example. All this without knowing anything about programming.

To work in layers you can create a pop-up window onto any element with the hand that points the interactivity. In the pop-up window you can include images, texts and content.

Tip: when you embed a video to a pop-up window you avoid disengaging your audience by clicking to visit another website. Pop-up windows are very useful to consume external content (videos, pdf, charts, images, text) without leaving your genially.

In the interactivity section you will find detailed information about the types of interactivity there are and how to take advantage of this great feature.

You will also find in the Embed external content section detailed information about how to insert content in to a pop-up window. You can now start communicating in layers without knowing anything about programming.
