The waiver process for a minor is very similar to the process for an adult - the only difference is how initial/signature requirements are handled. Depending on your waiver station configuration, minors may be required to sign their own waiver in addition to a guardian, or a guardian may be solely responsible for all signature and initial fields.

Completing an individual waiver as a minor

  1. Enter Date of Birth: After selecting Individual, the participant will be prompted to enter their date of birth using the month, day, and year drop-downs.

    • The date of birth chosen will trigger a notification that they are a minor and will require a guardian to complete the waiver form. If the minor chooses Cancel they will not be able to proceed. Choosing Okay will allow them to proceed.

  2. Enter Guardian Information: The guardian will fill in their contact details and address (if your waiver collects address information).

    • 💡 Address tip: As the participant begins typing their address, a list of matching results will appear. They can keep typing to narrow down the results, then tap the correct address to automatically fill in the remaining address fields.

  3. Participant Information: The participant details are added next - Name, Phone Number and Address (these will be pre-populated by what the guardian has entered but can be modified if needed).

  4. Answer Additional Questions: If your waiver includes extra questions - such as rental information or emergency contact details - the participant will complete these on the same screen. You can choose during waiver setup whether these questions are mandatory.

  5. Continue to the Next Screen: Once all required fields are filled in, the blue Continue button at the bottom of the screen will become active. The participant selects it to proceed.

  6. Add a Photo: If your waiver is configured to collect a participant photo, the next screen will prompt the participant to upload one or give the option to use the device's camera (on a tablet or a mobile phone). Photo guidelines can be added as part of the waiver station setup process.

  7. Review and Sign Each Waiver Screen The participant will now move through each page of the waiver. Here's what to expect:

    • Any page that requires an initial or signature will display a box for the participant to sign in. The Continue button won't activate until the initial or signature has been added.

    • To redo an initial or signature, the participant can select Clear & Sign Again.

    • The back icon in the top left corner allows the participant to return to a previous screen. All initials and signatures will be retained - unless the participant navigates all the way back to the contact information screen, at which point they will be cleared.

  8. Submit the Waiver: On the last screen for the waiver, the participant and guardian must provide their signatures in order to submit the waiver.
The button will display one of two options:

    • Next Waiver: if the participant selected more than one waiver at the start, they'll now complete the screens for the next one.

    • Finish: if there are no further waivers to complete.

  9. Confirmation Screen: After selecting Finish (or completing all selected waivers), the participant will see a confirmation screen acknowledging their submission.

    • Android and iOS app: The app will then automatically return to the main waiver selection screen, ready for the next participant.

    • Browser: The app will either return to the main waiver selection screen or to a custom redirect page of your property's choosing (configured as part of the waiver station setup).
