⚠️ Before you start:

  • To use the family waiver, all participants must live at the same address (if your waiver collects address information). If any participants live at different addresses, each person must complete an individual waiver instead.

  • Depending on how your waiver station is configured, minors may be required to sign their own waiver in addition to a guardian, or a guardian may be solely responsible for all signature and initial fields.

Step-by-Step: Completing a family waiver with minors

  1. Select the Family Waiver: Choose the Family image on the waiver selection screen. A notification will appear confirming the criteria for using the family waiver process (if collecting address is enabled for this waiver). Select Yes to continue.

  2. Confirm Minors: The next screen will ask whether any minors will be included in the waiver. Select Yes to continue with the waiver process.

  3. Choosing Yes will trigger a banner to appear, indicating that the first participant added will be recognized as the guardian for any minor’s and will be required to sign their waiver.

  4. The guardian will add their date of birth and contact information. If address is also being collected it will be added here and used for all participants.

  5. In some instances, a family waiver may be filled out where the guardian is not participating in the activities described in the waiver (e.g., completing a waiver for a children’s summer camp). The guardian will see the below question toggled to OFF by default. If left as OFF, the guardian will not fill out a waiver and will only sign for any minors. If toggled to ON, the guardian will also be required to fill out a waiver in addition to signing for any minors.

  6. If “I will be participating in any of the activities described in this waiver” is toggled to ON and there are additional questions attached to the waiver (e.g., rental questions, emergency contact, etc.) the guardian will complete these next while still on the same screen.

  7. Add Additional Participants: Once the guardian has completed all required fields, they'll select Add Family Member to add the next person. Each additional participant will enter:

    • Date of birth

    • Name

    • Email address

    • Phone number (the first participant's phone number will be pre-filled by default but can be changed)

    • Answer any additional questions attached to the waiver.

  8. Managing the Participant List: As each participant is added, the previous participant's details will collapse to keep the screen tidy. To review or edit a participant's information, select the icon to the right of their name to expand it.

  9. Finish Adding Participants and Continue: Once all family members have been added, select Continue to Waiver to proceed to the waiver or Continue to Photos (if this feature is enabled for the waiver station).

    • ⚠️ Don't select Continue to Waiver or Continue to Photos until all participants have been added - once you proceed, you won't be able to add anyone else.

  10. Add a Photo: If your waiver is configured to collect a participant photo, the next screen will prompt each participant to upload one or give the option to use the device's camera (on a tablet or a mobile phone). Photo guidelines can be added as part of the waiver station setup process.

  11. Complete the Waiver Screens: Starting with the first participant (which may or may not be the guardian), each person will move through their waiver screens in order. At the top of each screen, a grey banner will display the participant's name (and thumbnail of the photo added, if applicable) and the waiver they are currently completing so there's no confusion about whose turn it is.

    • Any screen requiring an initial or signature will display a box to sign in. The Continue button won't activate until the required initial or signature has been added.

    • To redo a signature, select Clear & Sign Again.

  12. Submitting Each Participant's Waiver: On the final screen of each waiver, the current participant will add their signature. For any minors, the guardian will be required to add their signature. The button will display one of two options:

    • Next Waiver: the same participant has another waiver to complete and will continue through its screens.

    • Next Participant's Waiver: this participant is done and the next person will begin their waiver(s).

  13. Final Participant and Confirmation Screen: Once the last participant has completed all their waivers, the button on the final screen will display Finish. After adding their signature and selecting Finish, the group will see a confirmation screen acknowledging their submission.

    • Android and iOS app: The app will then automatically return to the main waiver selection screen, ready for the next participant.

    • Browser: The app will either return to the main waiver selection screen or to a custom redirect page of your property's choosing (configured as part of the waiver station setup).
