Note: Task templates can only be created from the manager dashboard.
Navigating the main task templates page
From the side navigation, go to Tasks > Task Templates.
Use the search box to quickly locate a specific template.
The Status column shows whether a template is Active or Paused.
Active: Every day, all tasks tied to this template are sent to the EDGEauditor app so staff can see what they need to complete.
Paused: No tasks are sent to the app. This is useful if your resort is seasonal (for example, only open in winter) and you don't want tasks going out when no one's there to complete them. It's also handy for an ad hoc series of tasks, such as an accident investigation, that aren't part of your daily checks.

How to create a new task template
From the main Task Templates screen, click the blue New Task Template in the top right corner.
Template Name: Give your template a clear name that reflects what the tasks are about, so other users can easily find it later if they need to edit or pause it.
Add Task: Select this button for each task you want to add to the template. In the modal that opens you will see the fields described in steps #3 to #15 below.
Task Name (required): Describe the specific action you want the staff member to take. For example: "Complete daily sweep report," or "Shovel snow around all main entrances".
Department: Assign the task to a department. Frontline staff can then filter the Tasks module to see only the open tasks for their department.
Departments can be added at https://resort.edgeauditor.com/app/staffs?tab=departmentsArea: Like departments, you can link a task to a specific area so staff can filter for open tasks in that area. Areas can be added at resort.edgeauditor.com/areas.
Feature: Link the task to a specific feature, such as a ski run, lift, park, trail, or sign. If the same name is used across multiple feature types, a short form is added in brackets after the name to show which type it is:
Ski Run = SR
Lift = L
Park = P
Sign = S
Type: Categorize the task (for example, Admin, Operations, Inspection, Accident Investigation, Trail Checks, etc.). Task types can be created at https://resort.edgeauditor.com/app/tasks?tab=task-types.
Priority: Set the urgency level: High, Medium, or Low, so staff know how quickly the task needs attention.
Current Date: If selected, and the template is Active, the task will be due on today's date.
Add Days: Only available if Current Date is selected. This option lets you set a future due date for the task. This is best used for non-daily templates. For example, in an accident investigation template, you might create a task called "Build investigation package" and give the responsible person 3 days to complete it. If the template is activated on March 3rd, the task would be due March 6th.
Action (required): Choose whether the task requires Complete Task or Complete Report. If you select Complete Report, a new field called Report Name appears, letting you choose which report needs to be completed. The report must already exist in EDGEauditor before it can be selected here.
Notes: Add any extra details or instructions for the task.
Upload Image: Attach one or more images to the task. Maximum file size is 5MB, and accepted formats are JPEG/JPG or PNG.
Create the Task: Select the green Add button to add the task to your template.
Save: Once you've added all your tasks, click the green Save button to save your template.
To modify your template at any time, simply select the hyperlinked template name from the table on https://resort.edgeauditor.com/app/task-templates.
