A park build is a documented walkthrough of a park where staff record each feature, its location and and photos. Builds are submitted to the Manager Dashboard for supervisor review and approval.

Starting a Build

  1. Log in to the app and select Add Park Build.

  2. Select the park you want to build from the list

  3. Choose how to start the build:

    • New Build: Start fresh. Previous build data is cleared for this session (but remains accessible in the Manager Dashboard for historical reference).

    • Modify: Update a build that was submitted previously. This option is best suited if you only have minor updates to make, such as adding a new feature or two or removing one.

Adding Features to the Build

  1. Stand at the takeoff or start of your first feature, then tap the Add a Park Feature button.

  2. Confirm your location on the map. A marker shows your current GPS position. Zoom in and tap to adjust the marker if needed.

    • Tap the Refresh icon in the top right-hand corner if needed to update your GPS coordinates.

  3. Tap Capture Current Location when the marker is in the right spot.

  4. You will receive a prompt asking you to choose the trail feature type (there is a description of each provided:

    1. Snow Feature

    2. From Inventory

If Snow feature is selected:

  • Enter the feature name

  • Select a category

  • Enter size (optional)

  • Add notes (optional)

  • Add photos

  • Tap Save

If From inventory is selected:

  • Select the feature from your inventory list

  • Choose size (optional)

  • Add notes (optional)

  • Add photos

  • Tap Save

šŸ’” Regardless of the feature type, Add photos from multiple angles to capture a full 360-degree view of each feature.

Repeat for each feature in the park

Saving and Submitting the Build

As a best practice, you should save regularly versus waiting until the build is complete.

Once you've documented some of your features, tap Save Build. You will have three options:

  1. Save Park Build to Local Device: Use this if you haven't finished the build yet and don't have internet or cellular connectivity. The build saves to Pending Local Reports and can be completed later.

  2. Save Incomplete Park Build to Cloud: Use this if you haven't finished the build yet but have working internet or cellular capability. The build saves to Reports Saved In Progress To Cloud > Park & Trail Builds In Progress. By saving here, you can open the build on any device with the EDGEauditor app installed and pick up the build from where you left off.

  3. Save and Close Out to Cloud: Use this when the build is complete and ready for supervisor review. This sends the build to the Manager Dashboard.
