Manager Dashboard: How to create user profiles

User profiles let you define a set of permissions once, then apply them to as many users as you need.

Instead of setting permissions user by user, you build a user profile - a named set of permissions - and assign it to everyone who should have that access.

For example, create a profile called Frontline Patrol, select the modules that group should be able to use, and save it. Then head to Active Users and apply that profile to each patroller. Need to change what patrol can access later? Edit the profile once and everyone assigned to it is updated.

Important Note for legacy users: Any user who existed in EDGEauditor before user profiles were introduced keeps exactly the access they had. We created a legacy profile for each of these users so you don't have to rebuild everyone from scratch.

However, if you need to change permissions for a legacy user - anyone without a user profile assigned - you will need to create a profile and assign it to them.

How to create a user profile

  1. From the side navigation, select User Management > User Profiles.

  2. Select the blue New Profile button in the top right-hand corner.

  3. Name your profile.

  4. Assign permissions on the Manager Dashboard tab (if applicable).

  5. Then assign permissions for the Resorts app (if applicable).

  6. Select the green Save button in the top right-hand corner to create your profile.

  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each profile you want to create.

  8. To make changes to a profile, just select the hyperlinked profile name from the table.

How to assign a profile to a user

  1. From the side navigation, select User Management > Users.

  2. By default, you will land on the Active Users tab.

  3. Use the Search box to quickly locate the user.

  4. Assign the profile using one of two methods:

    • Quick assign (most common): Use the drop-down in the Profile column to choose a profile for that user. You'll see an on-screen confirmation once you make your selection.

    • From the user's edit screen: Select the hyperlinked username then choose a profile from the drop-down under User Access & Permissions section. Use this option when a user has access to more than one location - it lets you assign a profile per location in one place. Select the green Save button in the top right-hand corner to save your changes.
