Think of a waiver station as the parent hub for your waivers. Each station can have one or more waivers linked to it. When a customer accesses the station - whether through a URL or a pre-configured tablet at your property - they land on the waiver selection screen, where they choose which waiver(s) to complete. Any waiver that isn't linked to a station will be inaccessible to customers.

Creating a New Waiver Station

  1. Navigate to Waivers > Manage Stations in the side navigation.

  2. Click the blue New Station button in the top right corner.

  3. Give your station a name. Use a descriptive name that reflects the types of waivers included, such as Summer Activities Waiver Station.

  4. Description: Use this field to add internal notes about the station or the waivers attached to it, such as Station exclusively used for summer activities - mountain biking, zip lining, camps, etc.

  5. Custom Welcome Text: This message appears on the waiver selection page, which is the first screen customers see when they access the station. Use the content editor to format your text and add an image (if needed).

  6. Custom Complete Text: This message appears after a customer successfully completes a waiver. Use this space for a simple thank-you, next-step instructions, or any other call to action. Use the content editor to format your text and add an image (if needed).

  7. Waiver redirection: Choose from one of three options for how a guest should be redirected once their waiver is submitted:

    • No redirect - guest remains on the waiver completion screen

    • The waiver selection screen

    • Custom URL - enter the URL the guest should be redirected to each time a waiver is submitted

  8. Collect participants address information: Check this box to require customers to provide their residential address as part of the waiver.

  9. Always require a guardian signature: If selected, guardian information and signature will be required for all participants regardless of whether they are above the age of majority set for your property.

  10. Allow minor to sign their own waiver: If selected, minors must sign their own waiver in addition to a consenting guardian. If unselected, only the guardian will be required to sign.

  11. Only show Individual Waiver: If selected, the family waiver option will be hidden. All participants must complete an individual waiver.

  12. Take photo of participants: Check this box to require customers to upload a photo with their waiver. Enabling this option reveals additional fields:

    • Title: Add a headline for your photo guidelines.

    • Add Instruction: Click for each photo guideline/instruction you want to add (e.g., No hats, sunglasses or goggles)

  13. Authorization Key: Select the Generate button to the right of the authorization key box to create the unique URL for the waiver station to create one when setting up a new station.

    • If you are using the iOS or Android app for Waivers, you will use the key that appears in the box to configure your waiver station, along with your location code. Your location code is the same code you use to log in to the EDGEauditor Resorts App and Manager Dashboard.

  14. QR Code: A QR code will automatically appear once you create an Authorization Key for this station. If you need to create a new Authorization Key later, a new QR code will be provided.

    • Select the Download QR Code button, if you'd like to download a higher resolution version of the image to put on marketing collateral.

    • Using the camera app on their phone, guests can scan the QR code to be taken directly to that pre-configured waiver station.

  15. Available Individual Waivers: Scroll through the list and select the waiver(s) that should be accessible from this station. Once waivers have been added, use the grip icons over on the right under 'Appearance Order' to drag and reorder them as needed.

  16. Available Packages: If any waiver packages have been created, they will appear here for selection. Check out [article link] for more information on creating packages.

  17. The last step is to click the green Save Waiver Station button at the bottom of the open panel to create your station.

  18. If you need to make any changes to a waiver station, simply select the hyperlinked station name from the first column of the table that lists all your stations.
