Adding money to your Chip account is easy! First, please make sure your bank and card are fully connected. You'll need a linked bank account to withdraw your money later. You can check this in the Profile tab.
Adding to a savings account
From the Savings tab, you'll see a list of all your available savings accounts.
Tap on the account you want to deposit into, then tap Add Money.
Enter the amount you'd like to deposit and choose how you want to pay in the Deposit by section.
You might be asked to verify the transaction with your bank.
If your deposit is successful, we'll confirm it in the app and send you an email.
Please note: You can't use a card to deposit into a Chip Cash ISA.
Adding to an Investment Fund
Go to the Invest tab and choose to invest with either a GIA (General Investment Account) or a Stocks & Shares ISA.
Select a fund you already hold or choose a new one. You can tap on any fund to see more information and projections to help you decide.
To add money, tap Invest if you're using your linked bank account or card. If you're using money from a Chip savings account or your uninvested cash, tap Transfer.
You might need to verify the transaction with your bank.
You'll get a confirmation in the app and via email once your transaction is complete.
When investing, your capital is at risk.
